Plan BK: The Solutions - You Don't Have A "Right" To Your "Opinion".

Hey Folks,

You don't have a "Right" to your "Opinion".

You have options.

You do have a "Right" to your "Rights".

That's an option the Democrats and media are hoping you forget.

(...)

"A state of war only serves as an excuse for domestic tyranny."

- Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn

(...)

When we defend the "Right" to an "Opinion", we often creatively and aggressively defend it in ways that keeps us from improving it.

This has been especially true with the influence and Rise of the Karl Rovebots, the mindless, pompous, "fascist-parrots" (Webster Tarpley) who dominate our mediascape. Many of their leaders are government operatives and part of Bush's $1.6 billion "fake news" propaganda program - among others, and all spit out variations on their simple-speak "Talking Points" in unison while literally refusing to listen to or trust anyone but their puppet masters. They are the GOP gestapo, the perfect army of hate to justify sending us into more and more wars and torturing more and more people.

You can say: "I love President Bush because Jesus sent Him!"

You can say: "I have the Right to my Opinion!"

You can say: "I'm a freaking idiot!"

It's all the same thing.

This was perfect media strategy to get us polarized, and split us into antagonistic "gangs" or "social circles" who collectively cheat our opinions towards the corrupt "establishment" for "credibility" when we're not sure of something. When we don't know the truth, we balance our World view of allies and enemies between the lies of our friends and family and the lies of our country, making sure we don't fall between the cracks. Then we spit on those who do to show loyalty to our "gang", as directed.

The lies that everyone knows - i.e. "propaganda" - become socially addictive, especially the "political" ones, and since no one wants to feel "stupid", the lies are reinforced as "smart" opinions among those with half-knowledge. Right now all the people who know "nothing" about politics know the Democrats won and Rumsfeld resigned, and that we should all be happy about it.

That's how we're supposed to feel anyway.

Yay.

But this still sucks, especially since the increasingly privatized prison-industrial complex is looking for their $20 shares to go up to $50, and then $100, and then split. And then go from $50 to $100, and then split. And so on. The only way for this to happen is for deteriorating social conditions to create more criminals to work to death as prisoners in corporately owned and operated slave-labor camps, just like the ones in China that furnish our American-owned Wal*Mart's, and just like the ones Halliburton is building here:

Halliburton Subsidiary Gets Contract to Add Temporary Immigration Detention Centers

By RACHEL L. SWARNS
New York Times
Published: February 4, 2006

WASHINGTON, Feb. 3 — The Army Corps of Engineers has awarded a contract worth up to $385 million for building temporary immigration detention centers to Kellogg Brown & Root, the Halliburton subsidiary that has been criticized for overcharging the Pentagon for its work in Iraq.

Freedom Rider - Halliburton Detention Centers

Margaret Kimberley
The Black Commentator
February 16, 2006

...What ought to shock and terrify every American is that KBR, a Halliburton subsidiary, was awarded a $385 million contract to build "temporary detention facilities" in case of an "immigration emergency":

"The contract may also provide migrant detention support to other U.S. Government organizations in the event of an immigration emergency, as well as the development of a plan to react to a national emergency, such as a natural disaster. In the event of a natural disaster, the contractor could be tasked with providing housing for ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) personnel performing law enforcement functions in support of relief efforts."

Anyone paying a little bit of attention will ask, "What immigration emergency?" If there is an immigration emergency looming on the horizon it is a big secret. Of course immigrants will be the first ensnared in the net that big brother Bush has in mind, but the net won't stop with them.

What sort of national emergency requires detention centers? America has plenty of prisons. More of our population is behind bars than in any country on earth. There are detention centers for immigration in existence already. As for helping in case of a natural disaster, hurricane Katrina proved that saving American lives is not on the Bush agenda.

The Department of Homeland Security's new "sneak-and-peek" laws allow Federal Agents to enter and exit your home anytime they want without ever telling you they were there, and this should speed up the process: send one team to plant the evidence, send another to arrest the suspect.

Sweeet.

And if you haven't done anything wrong, don't get it twisted: these laws will eventually be used if you "say" something wrong, like "I don't wanna go to a FEMA camp!" or "Get your hands off my child!" or "This is my property!" or "Help!!!"

'Sneak-and-Peek' Law Helps More Than War on Terror

FOX News
Tuesday, August 16, 2005

...Delayed notification, or so-called "sneak-and-peek" (search) warrants, have been around since 1973 and require prosecutors to go to a federal judge to get permission to search. But until the Patriot Act, federal officials needed to show probable cause and tell the suspects they're under surveillance within seven days.

Now, the evidence bar is lower and the surveillance can go on indefinitely so long as a judge is convinced it is needed - all without the suspect's knowledge.

I believe the Republicans tried to steal the mid-term elections, it seems obvious in even the mainstream media reports. And if you say "Duh!", I also believe that forgiving people for attempted murder by saying: "See? I told you they wouldn't kill anyone! (Yet.)" is not as effective as saying: "Why the hell aren't these guys in jail?"

Millions of people lost their "Right to Vote".

That's an actual "Right" we're ALL losing, which in my "Opinion" is a bad thing.

The corporate media making this massive institutional "fraud" seem "normal" is part of their "Oh the Republicans lost anyway - relax!" spin to lull us to sleep, and a way to sell the GOPerverts policies as perfectly "normal" when they are continued under the Democrats.

After all, it's time to "work together" and "cooperate" and find "common ground", which is what opposition parties really working for "fascists" subverting a "democracy" will do.

I'm still glad the Democrats "won" to help weaken the "Unitary Executive" dictatorship Bush's torture-lovin' lawyers cooked up, and maybe for the first time in 5 years they'll hold some "oversight" hearings to finally figure out what the hell is going on. It's also good to finally have the power-hungry weenies on both sides jockeying for position, but they're nearly all controlled through bribery and blackmail, and as Alex Jones says: "It's just like the mafia, they may argue and fight with each other on occasion, but they still agree on the racketeering, bribery, prostitution, corruption, drug-dealing, extortion..."

I also believe that it's better for "liberal" or "lefty" parties to be in power, especially right now, because they are more closely allied with and supported by groups that represent "people" instead of "power". I'd rather their ears were chewed off by "activists" working for little (or free) on behalf of "people"; instead of "consultants" and "think tanks" making millions working for "corporations" to screw the "people" on behalf of "power".

Still, if the controlled "left" doesn't wake up to the false "Left/Right" paradigm they're screwed too, and short articles like this on Yahoo! News basically say "protestors are dangerous" without saying much else, which means we'd better clearly contextualize and battle our demonization before the public cheers when we're beaten up:

Four plead guilty in Ore. ecoterror case

Thu Nov 9, 4:13 PM ET

EUGENE, Ore. - Four environmental extremists pleaded guilty to arson and conspiracy Thursday for their part in a five-year wave of firebombings that caused $30 million in damage.

Under the plea agreement, prosecutors said they would ask for five years in prison for one of the defendants, and eight years for the others. One of the defendants is a wildland firefighter and animal rights activist.

Authorities said ecoterrorists committed firebombings around the Northwest between 1996 and 2001 to stop logging, wild horse roundups, genetic engineering of plants, SUV sales and the expansion of a Vail, Colo., ski resort into endangered lynx habitat.

The Earth Liberation Front and the Animal Liberation Front claimed responsibility for the attacks.

"I'm hopeful that this will conclude and destroy the arson cells of the ALF and ELF in the Pacific Northwest," federal prosecutor Kirk Engdall said.

The defendants are expected to be sentenced in the spring.

Six others charged in the case previously pleaded guilty.

Both sides are messed up, and I haven't heard any "conservatives" bring up any humanitarian arguments that don't involve bombing the hell out of and torturing people in order to help bring them "freedom" and "democracy".

It's been a weird 5 years.

When Donald "Hitler" Rumsfeld isn't tried for war crimes, and is instead allowed to crawl back to his Big Pharma millions where he made money selling bioweapons to Saddam; made money selling the "bird-flu" vaccine Tamiflu at Gilead (and could make more); and where he could make even more money off cures for the depleted uranium sickness he's caused around the World... and he's been replaced by a former Director of the CIA under President George Bush Sr.... and we're celebrating...

...this is bad.

Rummy had a lot of help from the military-industrial complex owned media, who ironically helped take on the "military" media attacking him. It's amazing how "journalists" can take the endless parade of haughty White House dismissals saying they're obviously above criticism with straight faces. Hmph. It must be the botox.

White House Calls Editorials Urging Rumsfeld Exit 'Shabby'

By E&P Staff

Published: November 05, 2006 9:45 AM ET

NEW YORK The White House is dismissing fresh calls for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld's ouster, calling an editorial in leading newspapers for the military "a shabby piece of work."

White House spokesman Tony Snow said Saturday the president has shrugged off an editorial by the Military Times Media Group, which publishes the Army Times, Marine Times, Air Force Times and Navy Times, calling for Bush to fire Rumsfeld. Bushs feels it is merely "grandstanding," he added. The editorial says Rumsfeld has "lost credibility" with top officers.

Snow called the editorial "a caricature" and a "shabby piece of work" filled with inaccuracies. He said it implied the administration's made nothing but "rosy" predictions about Iraq. Snow said that isn't true, leading the president to "shrug it off."

When the Democrats tried their best to lose by hardly campaigning all year and barely criticizing President Bush's record; when they aren't promising to get out of Iraq or Afghanistan and may even send more troops; when they sank anti-war candidate Ned Lamont in favor of Joe LIEberman; when they aren't going to get rid of "The Patriot Act" or bring back the 800 year-old right to "habeas corpus" - i.e. the "right to ask to be let out of jail", or reverse any of Bush's worst policies; and when the likely Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi, says she absolutely will not impeach Bush...

...it's tough to say we "won".

(Shh! Go to sleep! We won!!!)

You can still contact your Congressperson and get them to vote for anyone but Benedict Pelosi, but unfortunately she's now got The Dean on her side:

* The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Transcript - 8/Nov/06:

JON STEWART: "How long in your mind do you feel it's gonna be before power corrupts you absolutely?"

HOWARD DEAN: "Well, you know...."

JON STEWART: "The last guys did it in three and a half days, what are you guys aiming for?"

HOWARD DEAN: "Longer than that."

HOWARD DEAN: "I know half the audience wants us to impeach the President and all that kind of stuff but we're not gonna do that - we're not gonna do that."

When I say you need to watch a 9/11 Truth video and spread the word to help finally end this madness and expose the puppet masters once and for all, or tell you that we're still in a hell of a lot of danger in a hundred other ways, you'll laugh if off by saying I'm alarmist.

The "liberal" media is already echoing this strategy, and the independent "Left" will adopt it and make "conspiracy theories" tougher to sell. This ensures that we'll continue to work on the specific compartmentalized solutions our controlled leaders choose to focus us on, which at best expose the "crime" but not the "criminals".

By the way: I'm not an "activist", I'm a "crimefighter".

Please remember that about myself and the peers I reference going forward.

It opens up a World of solutions.

Our lack of trust in each other's intentions and work ethic is destroying the substance of our social networks and communities, and allowing the fascist media's random-accusation machines to keep us distracted and attacking each other's "tastes" while looking down on the people or groups who share them. This feedback loop of temporal nonsense makes us seem petty and stupid, makes us seem petty and stupid to each other, and makes us apathetic about our desire or chance to improve our situation.

The least important information is what we need to know to "fit in", and its transient value makes everything seem meaningless. While our enemies are getting "political" they're teaching us not to, so we'd better see what being a "rebel" really means, and wonder why the heroes we're sold don't truly "inspire" us.

Hitler knew the value of having a cloak of "legality" on his side, and the biggest reason the "fascists" are getting "political" and telling "us" not to is to change the "laws". Aside from the funny symbols and pants, the comparative Nazi tactics over the last 5 years, if looked at objectively, are staggering. This isn't a surprise since it's the same old-money idiots behind the military-industrial complex and rise of fascism each time, and since the Third Reich was where the first Bush Bank was built:

How Bush's grandfather helped Hitler's rise to power

Rumours of a link between the US first family and the Nazi war machine have circulated for decades. Now the Guardian can reveal how repercussions of events that culminated in action under the Trading with the Enemy Act are still being felt by today's president

Ben Aris in Berlin and Duncan Campbell in Washington

The Guardian

George Bush's grandfather, the late US senator Prescott Bush, was a director and shareholder of companies that profited from their involvement with the financial backers of Nazi Germany.

The Guardian has obtained confirmation from newly discovered files in the US National Archives that a firm of which Prescott Bush was a director was involved with the financial architects of Nazism.

I even have friends who've gone "fascist", and while I can understand it happening in 1936, I can't understand it happening now when we've actually SEEN pictures and videos of our very own concentration camps.

This is nuts.

This mass-induced moral weakness and neurotic cynicism is suppressing the work of those exposing 9/11 Truth and tonnes of other crucial information on the internet (notice the TV and newspapers hardly mention "the internet"?) cross-referenced by thousands of concerned people, a certifiable measure for open-minded concern in any sane World. By destroying our collective intelligence and faith in humanity, we are allowing a willfully blind and angry neo-gestapo to magnify their attacks on healthy skepticism.

It's as simple as a dozen former Generals coming out against the War in Iraq: in any sane World where we respected the village elders, and where we understood they were probably confided in before they spoke against the tribe, that would be enough to get us out.

Retired generals rising up against Iraq war

By ERIN SOLARO
Sunday, April 16, 2006

Alexis de Tocqueville once remarked that in a democracy, the greatest pacifists are the generals. In America, this has often been true but rarely obvious. Our time-honored and intense tradition of civilian supremacy means that senior officers, active or retired, rarely express misgivings or dissenting opinions in public -- certainly not while a war is going on.

And yet, since mid-March, we have witnessed a veritable "Revolt of the Generals," a situation having nothing to do with men on horseback but, potentially, a great deal to do with offering some perspective and restoring some sanity to this increasingly war-weary republic.

We are given dozens of morally and intellectually weakening lies and fake debates, and taught to defend them to avoid feeling dumb. It's a bizarre position: ignorant, neurotic, and defiant. After years of research and a generally articulate eloquence on a variety of subjects, sometimes when I get people saying "I'm wrong" or they "don't believe" me about "politics", all I can say is:

"Now how the hell can you say that? You watch maybe a half-hour of TV news a week - by accident!"

For more on how we're scared and distracted and divided to make the brainwashing easier, and to figure out how to fight it, please check out "TerrorStorm: A History of Government Sponsored Terrorism", which made it up to Number 8 on Amazon.com's Top 100 and total list of thousands of DVD's! That's awesome and shows the market for the truth clearly exists, but it's slipped, so please get inspired and get the word out. Grab copies for your friends and local cop-shop too, you'll think it was a good idea soon enough.

The reason I'm pushing "TerrorStorm" and "America: Freedom to Fascism" is that they're both awesome and can appeal to a wide variety of people, and the filmmakers encourage all of us to make and distribute copies to wake everyone up. The former is by Alex Jones who has a tonne of work to his credit, and exposes how "fear" is used to control and enslave us. The latter is by Aaron Russo, a Hollywood producer with the talent and cache to easily appeal to more than just the converted, and exposes how "money" is used to control and enslave us.

They both also expose where we're all going. Fast.

That's why we all have to see them. Now.

Jones is making 50 cents a copy off the $13 price on Amazon just to get it out there after spending over $100,000 to make it, he put it on Google Video for free, and he's currently working (he's always working) on a film about The Bilderberg Group. Russo is taking a massive loss after spending over 2 years and $1 million to make and promote his film, including playing it in theatres across America to lines around the block, standing ovations and comments like: "It's amazing, this film is so good at simply explaining complex issues that it can be understood by anyone with an IQ from 80 to 180!"

People love these flicks, and a guy who'd been talking to his wife about this stuff for 10 years was shocked when she finally said "I get it!" after watching Russo's film. Keep in mind the financial hit these men are bravely taking has everything to do with the five corporations that control what we think and nothing to do with the quality of their work: after all, the same "mainstream media" that's censoring these films helped Clay Aiken go double-platinum.

There are many fantastic films on 9/11 and many other fascist conspiracies that can save us, many are more coming, and I wish everyone luck pushing their preferred pieces of the puzzle. However, right now I think the scope of "TerrorStorm" and "America: Freedom to Fascism" can safely include every constructive opinion without inciting infighting, and get us focused on the real criminals while adding our specific knowledge to what we collectively accept. They are both good enough to be huge globally (can we please see some more Google Video language translations?), further unify movements, and serve as a basis for targeting solutions.

This isn't about one's taste in music where you can get really high and stubbornly maintain that Lionel Richie was a "God". This isn't personal, this is business. We have to find efficient ways to get this done, and this method of rallying around and running behind the horses in the lead who've proven they'll keep running has worked before:

Terrorstorm: A History of Government Sponsored Terrorism (2006)

http://www.amazon.com/Terrorstorm-History-Government-Sponsored-Terrorism/dp/B000HRJLM4

America: Freedom to Fascism (2006)

http://www.freedomtofascism.com/

Besides, the reason they are being attacked and suppressed; the reason Alex Jones was detained and interrogated for 15 hours by Canadian Immigration in June on the orders of The Bilderberg Group; the reason it says it takes "4 - 6 weeks" to ship "TerrorStorm" on Amazon (it's really 2 days); the reason Borders Books and Barnes & Noble are refusing to sell the copies they have in stock; the reason Google Video kept changing their Top 100 rankings; and the reason a 10 years old boy was thrown out of class and written up on his permanent record for looking at the infowars.com website is... they're right.

It sucks, but it's better to figure that out now and get in the game instead of waiting for them to get completely shut down. The information is disappearing, and once the most important information in the World disappears it will be too late.

And if this is "normal"... then maybe it's already too late.

10-Year Old Disciplined for Visiting 9/11 Website
Courageous youth stands up to accusation of viewing 'terrorist' information

Jones Report | November 8, 2006
Aaron Dykes & Alex Jones

A fifth grader named 'Mark' reported to Alex Jones' Infowars TV show by phone that he had been sent home with a disciplinary report for visiting 9/11 Truth websites such as Infowars.com.

The 10 year-old Steiner Ranch Elementary student (in Leander I.S.D. near Austin, Texas) says that he was browsing such sites during his Computer Lab class period when a fellow student informed on him-- as though he were doing something wrong.

"He just ran up to my teacher in front of the whole class, saying he's searching terrorist stuff about 9/11," Mark told Jones.

Mark reports that his teacher was "shocked" and told him that he "shouldn't have been looking at conspiracy theory websites."

"And how we burned in the camps later, thinking: What would things have been like if every Security operative, when he went out at night to make an arrest, had been uncertain whether he would return alive and had to say goodbye to his family? Or if, during periods of mass arrests, as for example in Leningrad, when they arrested a quarter of the entire city, people had not simply sat there in their lairs, paling in terror at every bang of the downstairs door and at every step on the staircase, but had understood they had nothing left to lose and had boldly set up in the downstairs hall an ambush of half a dozen people with axes, hammers, pokers, or whatever else was at hand. no problem man, and best of luck.

when you're not in the game, you just cynically watch and go "see?" when something "bad" doesn't happen that's been predicted, smugly defending your inaction while dismissing the value of our activism. it's like forgiving someone for "attempted" murder, and going:

"see? they didn't actually kill anybody!"

yet.

when you're in the game, you understand all the bad stuff their trying to do, and there's a lot, and you take your wins by exposing their lies and seeing positive results. they tried to steal the election and failed thanks to us: you're welcome.

even with Rummy gone the House and Senate are still full of war-mongering Democrats elected with the support of the military-industrial complex owned media, including possible President Hilary, and if we're not on their asses they won't save us. before they completely control the internet and make sure that all the voting machines are electronic, we're going to stay on 'em.

you can chill out and go to sleep and forget they even tried to steal it, just like the corporate media wants you to, and learn that "exit polls" are "unreliable" as opposed to the most valuable check against election fraud: that'll come in really handy for the fascists stealing the election in '08.

you can also let them pass more and more laws that take away our rights, as for me, there's still a tonne of stuff going on that needs to be "exposed" before we're safe.

i know they're still running dozens of "drills" as cover for possible false-flag operations, and that they're still trying to nuke iran to start World War Three:

i'll be happy to be wrong about that stuff too, and will make sure that i am.

The Al Goreithm: The Inconvenient Truth is that he may be on our side.

Some of the Anglo-American elite may be getting nervous about how crazy the "neo-fascist madmen" (Webster Tarpley) are acting, and afraid they may be waking the public up. It's possible that some will try to dump the Bush Crime Family for 9/11, especially since Bush is running America like he's run every other business: into the ground.

It has to be more about individual actions at this point than individual character, for everyone's characted is tainted by what they have or haven't done. We can't be too judgmental unless their crimes are too systematically evil.

There are invididual actions and sentiments being directed at what we already know is consistently pure evil - i.e. the war-mongering torturers in charge, that we need to recognize.

Besides, even a serial killer can say you shouldn't beat your dog: because you just shouldn't beat your dog.

It's like this: I like Noam Chomsky.

I know a lot of 9/11 Truthers tear their hair out over the failure of the Left-Gatekeepers to come clean on the myth that could destroy the World, and I completely empathze.

But, I also understand Chomsky's MIT military funding, John Stewart's CBS/Viacom relationship, Amy Goodman's Ford Foundation funding, Michael Moore's Hollywood status which allows him to reach millions of people if he plays it right, Greg Palast's need to work for high-profile and respected outfits like the BBC and Guardian, and other compromises.

Besides: I like Noam Chomsky because he showed me that Western Governments have been murderous, brainwashing, hypocritical assholes, and that in lying to us they've helped make us responsible for senseless atrocities around the World.

And: I like Alex Jones because he tells me "why".

So, it's that simple: Noam Chomsky helps me appreciate Alex Jones.

And: I like what Al Gore had to say in the Guardian, it's too bad about 2000...

RE: Renting "An Inconvenient Truth" and buying "green"

the problem with some of gore's solutions is they are being used to centralize power and authority over the problem, and that's never a good thing as the united nations has repeatedly shown.

they also tend to focus on "personal responsibility", another reminder of our spiritual weakness, as opposed to getting us strong enough to personally suggest that those most responsible for pollution do their part to curb it. we've been trained to see that "we" are the problem, and as long as we do that the people really causing problems - including our spiritual weakness - will elude our scrutiny, and continue to do massive amounts of damage no matter how much paper we separate from plastic.

that's why there are only 3 pairs of spotted owls left in b.c., something i saw shortly after i'd argued about what to do about them (for example) with an environmentalist friend. he was saying we should focus on them, i was saying you can get a grant to study them from anyone, including lots of dead rich white people foundations, but you can't get them to help you stop exxon from dumping tonnes of oil and destroying the owl's habitat, and that's why they're dead anyway if you take the "normal" approach.

the same people who polluted the world may soon ask for "global environmental taxes", another attack on the middle-class of the world and another source of centralized revenue. as we can see from the billions in IMF and World Bank loans given to the developing world, they've never actually helped them "develop", and i'd be hard-pressed to trust them with my money or my planet.

still, there are some good signs, and here's a good interview with gore from the guardian. there may be a faction of the anglo-american oligarchy who think the neo-cons are too crazy and incompetent, because they are, and who are now using gore to help push bush into saving the u.s. dollar or getting impeached.

i'm also glad you're looking into greener investments, i think they're a good idea, just do some "googling" to check for any critics making sense, and make sure they're as green as they often proudly and expensively advertise... :)

'We are facing a massive assault on our liberties'

Since losing to George Bush in 2000, Al Gore, the former Vice-President, has reinvented himself as America's voice of reasoned opposition, particularly on global warming, the subject of his internationally acclaimed film An Inconvenient Truth. In this interview, he tells Henry Porter of a crisis of democracy in America.

Sunday November 5, 2006
The Observer

HP: I wonder if you feel that a constitution like the American one makes people more aware of their rights.

AG: I think it does. Those who wrote the constitution were very steeped in the culture of the printed word and the essays that were written to define the theory of representative democracy. The debates and the Constitutional Convention were all re-capitulated in elaborate written accounts. The debates over each precise word actually did focus public attention then, and continue to influence public attention now, to individual rights.

HP: Is a constitution a way of putting certain rights beyond the reach of ambitious men?

AG: If I felt that was the principal effect of having a written constitution, I would say yes. If I were a citizen in your country, I would be in favour of it. But being a citizen of the US and seeing the shocking ease with which these principles have been violated in the US, I'm worried that the causes of this invasion of rights may be deeper.

HP: The public here and in America have been prepared to put these rights on hold to a degree.

AG: Well, they have, but [in America] these rights have been weakened since the Bush-Cheney administration chose to use the war against terror as a basis for both political argument in a partisan context and for an assault on the individual rights, including the right to be free of government eavesdropping. The conversation of democracy has been degraded, emotions and appeals to fear have been given a priority over reasoned debate.

HP: Has there been a pumping up of this climate of fear?

AG: Yes, sure.

HP: What was the purpose? To extend executive powers or to get people to back the war in Iraq?

AG: A combination of motives. The Bush-Cheney administration was declining in popularity rapidly prior to the 9/11 attacks. In the initial aftermath, Bush responded quite well in rallying public opinion and going after the perpetrators. But then, for whatever reason, he began to make a lot of mistakes in my view; by not pursuing Osama bin Laden until he was captured; by invading a country that hadn't attacked us; by launching this assault on the protections written into the constitution against invasions of liberties. They conflated the threat from al-Qaeda and the purported threat from Saddam which, of course, didn't exist.

HP: In the days after 9/11, did you imagine that we would see this kind of attack on civil liberties?

AG: No, and it should be seen as shocking, in America at least, that so many individual rights have been lost so quickly. I believe that there has been a diminishing of the role played by reasoned debate. And when logic and reason are withdrawn from the public sphere, it creates a vacuum into which ideology and religious extremism rush in.

HP: In the Middle East, America and Britain are trying to persuade countries to become more democratic, yet in our own societies rights are being reduced and power centralised. How does that play in the Middle East?

AG: America's power in the world has always been based primarily on moral authority, and if we undermine our moral authority then any exercise of raw military power produces its own resistance. We're seeing that in Iraq.

HP: Do you think things can be restored? Say you become President, could this happen?

AG: Well, first of all I'm not planning to be a candidate, but a new President committed to restoring these rights could do so. The greater vulnerability we have now involves a rather radical change. Democracy is ultimately a conversation. If people are routinely excluded from that conversation or absent of their own choice, then it will be dominated by those who are primarily interested in political and economic power. Individual rights will be honoured and protected when individuals are full and vigorous participants in the public conversation.

- This is an extract from a televised interview with Al Gore for the More4 channel. The full interview will be run on Suspect Nation on 20 November at 9pm.

HOW THEY STOLE THE MID-TERM ELECTION

by Greg Palast
for The Guardian (UK), Comment
Monday November 6, 2006

Here's how the 2006 mid-term election was stolen.

Note the past tense. And I'm not kidding.

And shoot me for saying this, but it won't be stolen by jerking with the touch-screen machines (though they'll do their nasty part). While progressives panic over the viral spread of suspect computer black boxes, the Karl Rove-bots have been tunneling into the vote vaults through entirely different means.

For six years now, our investigations team, at first on assignment for BBC TV and the Guardian, has been digging into the nitty-gritty of the gaming of US elections. We've found that November 7, 2006 is a day that will live in infamy. Four and a half million votes have been shoplifted. Here's how they'll do it, in three easy steps:

Theft #1: Registrations gone with the wind.

On January 1, 2006, while America slept off New Year's Eve hangovers, a new federal law crept out of the swamps that has devoured 1.9 million votes, overwhelmingly those of African-Americans and Hispanics. The vote-snatching statute is a cankerous codicil slipped into the 2002 Help America Vote Act -- strategically timed to go into effect in this mid-term year. It requires every state to reject new would-be voters whose identity can't be verified against a state verification database.

Sounds arcane and not too threatening. But look at the numbers and you won't feel so fine. About 24.3 million Americans attempt to register or re-register each year. The New York University Law School's Brennan Center told me that, under the new law, Republican Secretaries of State began the year by blocking about one in three new voters.

How? To begin with, Mr. Bush's Social Security Administration has failed to verify 47% of registrants. After appeals and new attempts to register, US Elections Assistance Agency statistics indicate 1.9 million would-be voters will still find themselves barred from the ballot on Tuesday.

But don't worry: those holding passports from their ski vacations to Switzerland are doing just fine. And that's the point. It's not the number of voters rejected, it’s their color. For example, California's Republican Secretary of State Bruce McPherson figured out how to block 40% of registrants, mostly Hispanics. In a rare counter-move, Los Angeles, with a Hispanic mayor, contacted these citizens, "verified" them and got almost every single one back on the rolls. But throughout the rest of the West, new Hispanics remain victims of the "José Crow" treatment.

In hotly contested Ohio, Kenneth Blackwell, Secretary of State and the Republican's candidate for Governor, remains voter-rejection champ -- partly by keeping the rejection criteria a complete secret.

Theft #2: Turned Away - the ID game

A legion of pimple-faced Republicans with Blackberries loaded with lists of new voters is assigned to challenge citizens in heavily Black and Hispanic(i.e. Democratic) precincts to demand photo ID that perfectly matches registration data.

Sounds benign, but it's not. The federal HAVA law and complex new ID requirements in states like New Mexico will easily allow the GOP squads to triple the number of voters turned away. Rather than deny using these voter suppression tactics, Republican spokesmen are claiming they are "protecting the integrity of the vote."

I've heard that before. In 2004, we got our hands on fifty confidential internal memos from the files of the Republican National Committee. Attached to these were some pretty strange spreadsheets. They called them "caging lists" -- and it wasn't about zoo feeding times. They were lists (70,000 for Florida alone) of new Black and Jewish voters -- a very Democratic demographic -- to challenge on Election Day. The GOP did so with a vengeance: In 2004, for the first time in half a century, more than 3.5 million voters were challenged on Election Day. Worse, nearly half lost their vote: 300,000 were turned away for wrong ID; 1.1 million were allowed a "provisional" ballot -- which was then simply tossed out.

Tomorrow, new federal ID requirements and a dozen new state show-me-your-ID laws will permit the GOP challenge campaign to triple their 300,000 record to nearly one million voters blocked.

Theft #3: Votes Spoiled Rotten

The nasty little secret of US elections is that three million ballots are cast in national elections but not counted -- 3,600,380 not counted in 2004 according to US Election Commission stats. These are votes lost because a punch card didn't punch (its chad got "hung"), a stray mark voided a paper ballot and other machinery glitches.

Officials call it "spoilage." I call it, "inaugurating Republicans." Why? According to statisticians working with the US Civil Rights Commission, the chance your vote will "spoil" this way is 900% higher for Black folk and 500% higher for Hispanics than for white voters. When we do the arithmetic, we find that well over half of all votes spoiled or "blank" are cast by voters of color. On balance, this spoilage game produces a million-vote edge for the GOP.

That's where the Black Boxes come into play. Forget about Karl Rove messing with the software to change your vote. Rather, the big losses occur when computers crash, fail to start or simply don't respond to your touch. They are the new spoilage machines of choice with, statistically, the same racial bias as the old vote-snatching lever machines. (Funny, but paper ballots with in-precinct scanners don't go rotten on Black voters. Maybe that's why Republican Secretaries of State have installed so few of them.)

So Let's Add it Up

Two million legitimate voters will be turned away because of wrongly rejected or purged registrations.

Add another one million voters challenged and turned away for "improper ID."

Then add yet another million for Democratic votes "spoiled" by busted black boxes and by bad ballots.

And let's not forget to include the one million "provisional" ballots which will never get counted. Based on the experience of 2004, we know that, overwhelmingly, minority voters are the ones shunted to these baloney ballots.

And there's one more group of votes that won't be counted: absentee ballots challenged and discarded. Elections Assistance Agency data tell us a half million of these absentee votes will go down the drain.

Driving this massive suppression of the vote are sophisticated challenge operations. And here I must note that the Democrats have no national challenge campaign. That's morally laudable; electorally suicidal.

Add it all up -- all those Democratic-leaning votes rejected, barred and spoiled -- and the Republican Party begins Election Day with a 4.5 million-vote thumb on the vote-tally scale.

So, what are you going to do about it? May I suggest you … steal back your vote.

It's true you can't win with 51% of the vote anymore. So just get over it. The regime's sneak attack via vote suppression will only net them 4.5 million votes, about 5% of the total. You should be able to beat that blindfolded. If you can't get 55%, then you're just a bunch of crybaby pussycats who don't deserve to win back America.

Plan BK: The Solutions - Give the Guys and Girls with Guns Gifts! :-)

Hey Folks,

We have a bit of a situation here, the same one Gandhi was forced to deal with. While I'm glad it worked, he was non-violent because they had no choice:

"Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest."

- Mahatma Gandhi, "My Experiments With Truth", Chapter XXVII, page 446

We've acted ignorant about guns, parroting the corporate media's attacks on the poor and minorities without understanding the issue or learning the real sources of most violence.

And even though it was written down, we forget that the "right of the people to keep and bear Arms" is the "2nd" Amendment of the U.S. Constitution because it is "necessary to the security of a free State".

Our law enforcement officers live in our communities, their children go to school here, and they eat and drink at the bars and restaurants here. We need to reach them before they are turned into miserable attack dogs; or failing that, are replaced by out-of-towner domestic or foreign troops who care not whether it's Biloxi or Baghdad they are destroying.

I recommend buying and burning and handing out copies of "TerrorStorm: A History of Government Sponsored Terrorism" and "America: Freedom to Fascism" to every law enforcment officer you can find either in groups or as individuals; and in formal and informal settings. Work through any silly laws against "people" communicating with their local "police" to show them how they are being abused into states of violent paranoia, and to keep up the relationship, get them to help you get rid of things like "The Patriot Act" like over 400 cities and states have already done:

Nationwide figures as of November 6, 2006:

- 280 efforts underway

The same "War on Terror" brainwashing we all receive and some of us resist is more concentrated and intense in military, intelligence and law-enforcement circles. With the American people allowing obviously innocent (since it's not even "officially" helping us "win" the fake "War on Terror") Muslims to suffer in torture-camps; the "War on Terror" GOPredicted to only get worse and last for 100 years; and the World losing the 800-year old right to "habeas corpus"... where do you think this is going?

Why are our cops and G.I.'s being trained to violate basic human morality? Why are all of our corporations and governments attacking us? Why don't they "read us our rights" (pre-2001 thinking) when we get "arrested" on cop shows like "CSI" and "24" anymore?

The useless and divisive nonsense the elite's corporate media trains us to repeat means this is not entirely our fault: we can only say what we know. But if we want to beat the paradigm provided that's brought us to the brink of World War III, we need to trust the people decoding it.

It's a big mess, and even the National Rifle Association (NRA) has been infiltrated and corrupted: they're against Congressman Ron Paul (R - Texas), a man of integrity (seriously) with a perfect gun-rights voting record since the 1970's. And the NRA is backing his Democratic opponent:

NRA Endorses Gun Control Democrat, Lies About Ron Paul's Record

Jones Report | November 1, 2006
By Kevin Smith

... On the other hand, Gun Owners of America, as well as other leading gun rights groups, rate Rep. Paul with an A+. When executive director of GOA, Larry Pratt was informed of what the NRA was doing, he was quick to come to the aide of the Texas congressman.

Larry Pratt went on to relate that from the time Ron Paul got to Congress in 1976 he has been the staunchest of defenders of the 2nd Amendment. From his first days in Congress trying to use a constitutional remedy, the ‘One House Veto' to return residents of Washington D.C. their gun rights, to the continual moans of his own Republican party, “Oh here we go again” every time he try's to strike down existing gun laws. Pratt continued “This is a guy who's the real deal”, “let's get behind Ron Paul! He's been behind us”. When asked how GOA rated the challenger Shane Sklar, Mr. Pratt said “he didn't return the form, which is a very bad sign”. (Continued...)

The bad guys even play with anthrax, and just sent some of the fake stuff as a warning to Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer.

I don't know what it is about fascism that makes neo-fascist new-school Republicans not care how their team wins, but stop it: you're being ridiculous. They aren't treating you well either, and will probably soon organize you into street-fighting gangs like Hitler did.

And if you resist?

Unfortunately the fascists at The Department of Homeland Security - which is absorbing other agencies - are doing "drills" all the time. According to the brilliant Webster G. Tarpley, this is something else we have to stop: anti-terror "drills" are often covers for false flag attacks since they already have several officers on-site to immediately control the situation and information about it - like confiscating surveillance cameras. Drills are often negotiated locally in the planning, and we need to get in touch with our local officials and media and try to shut them down. The folks in Charleston, S.C. almost had a nuclear-drill that could've "ruined their weekend" according to their local paper, which while thankfully helping to expose it, hid the most interesting and indictable facts:

Charleston Post and Courier mangles nuke-drill facts

Total Information Analysis | August 16 2005

... The rumors began with a Northern Command press release about a terrorism training exercise that began: "Here's the scenario ... A seafaring vessel transporting a 10-kiloton nuclear warhead makes its way into a port off the coast of Charleston, S.C. Terrorists aboard the ship attempt to smuggle the warhead off and detonate it."

If this sounds familiar, perhaps you remember "Special Bulletin," a 1983 movie with roughly the same plot and set in Charleston. Perhaps the terrorists don't have a manual, just cable television. (Continued...)

If we want to avoid this situation getting messy, it's best that neither the police nor the public want to see them turned into an occupying army: it's too stressful.

It's also best that "occupying armies" don't feel like occupying armies by not being allowed here, and the Republicans use of Mexican and Dutch troops to patrol New Orleans after Katrina and confiscate guns is a worrisome uber-abuse of Posse Comitatus:

Mexico, Holland send troops to Biloxi

Posse Comitatus (1878) forbids domestic military participation in law enforcement: and now we see "foreign" troops?

Having it openly violated since the 1980's has brought us to the point where "martial law" is now openly discussed as "reasonable" in the "age of terror", and we're moving towards something none of us want.

More orders like the ones below given during Hurricane Katrina are among the "blackest deeds" of this black comedy: you don't think the people looting would've loved to have grabbed a ride or a sandwich instead of being left to die or shot at if they tried to live?

Iraq-tested soldiers in New Orleans with shoot to kill orders

AFP | September 2 2005

A squad of 300 National Guard troops landed in anarchic New Orleans fresh from Iraq on Thursday, with authorization to shoot and kill "hoodlums", Louisiana Governor Kathleen Blanco said.

"Three hundred of the Arkansas National Guard have landed in the city of New Orleans," said Blanco.

"These troops are fresh back from Iraq, well trained, experienced, battle tested and under my orders to restore order in the streets," Blanco said.

"They have M-16s and they are locked and loaded.

"These troops know how to shoot and kill and they are more than willing to do so if necessary and I expect they will," said Blanco. (Continued...)

So yeah, New Orleans is one big experiment in "martial law", but make no mistake: there are similar experiments - or "attacks" - on us happening across the country, including the loss of property rights, especially in New Jersey:

Eminent Domain in N.J. - Now They Just Steal Land

Union Township, N.J. -- Carol Segal has a problem: He wants to build townhouses on the six acres of land he owns in New Jersey's Union Township and has contracted with a developer to build 100 townhouses there.

But the township government wants to develop the property themselves, and - incredibly - they have voted to take his land through the eminent domain process and let a local developer with political connections do the job.

"They want to steal my land," Segal told the Newark Star-Ledger. "What right do they have when I intend to do the exact same thing they want to do with my property?" (Continued...)

So yeah, definitely start thinking of ways to improve relations with your local law enforcement. Once we all understand that we've all been victimized by a small group of, to quote Alex Jones, "the worst people in the World", we can all get along.

It's just that simple.

Plan BK: The Solutions - Save The Children... from GOPedophiles.

Since it's time to use the spineless Democrats as pipe-cleaners to clean out the House, it's going to be tricky, and knowing that a bunch of Republicans are gay liars could help.

This is nothing personal against gay people or President Bush, "The Genocider Decider" (the "Genocider?"), it's strictly business. I don't like it when we do business with bad people, and I don't like it when the weakest President in history (yes that's right) sells out to every greedy interest who asks, and takes the decent and religious people of America and the World on a horrible, destabilizing and ultimately suicidal ride.

The Republican "gay liar" thing is common knowledge in Washington circles, and even the Speaker of the House, Dennis Hastert, third in line for the Presidency, lives with his aide while his wife lives out of town. And when she visits she stays at a hotel.

The rumors about another top GOP member of the House being involved in sexual encounters with young "men for hire" are confirmed to WMR by well-placed sources in Washington's gay community. The member in question is House Speaker Dennis Hastert, whose "alternate" life style is the primary reason for him and his staff covering up the scandal involving ex-Florida GOP Rep. Mark Foley and his lewd messages sent to underage male congressional pages. Hastert's penchant to receive anal sex is well-known to our sources in DC's gay community. Though the silence is seen as political correctness, but that's a mistake because it settles on it being a "lifestyle" choice and not a crime: especially since politicians lying to the American public can amazingly not be a "crime". Lying is expected, and if you're on the "Right" it's often dismissed as a normal mistake if it's caught and celebrated if it works.

However: pedophilia is a crime.

The specifics on GOPedophilia and their orphan-delivery service really date back to The Franklin Coverup Scandal in Nebraska, and if enough people watch a Discovery Channel movie called "Conspiracy of Silence" on Google Video we'll turn the country around in a week or two. It was supposed to air on May 3, 1994, and relates to a Washington Times headline from June 29, 1989, saying:

...The backdrop of the Bush administration's push to obliterate the Geneva Conventions was encapsulated b y John “torture” Yoo, professor of law at Berkeley, co-author of the PATRIOT Act, author of torture memos and White House advisor.

During a December 1st debate in Chicago with Notre Dame professor and international human rights scholar Doug Cassel, John Yoo gave the green light for the scope of torture to legally include sexual torture of infants.

Cassel: If the president deems that he's got to torture somebody, including by crushing the testicles of the person's child, there is no law that can stop him?

Yoo: No treaty.

Cassel: Also no law by Congress — that is what you wrote in the August 2002 memo…

Yoo: I think it depends on why the President thinks he needs to do that.
